Enough of This Stuff Already

A nice New York Times article that was pointed out.
Murray Chass lists the things he wants to be talked about anymore and I agree with what he says, namely:
-Roger Clemens and when or if he is coming back
-Players declaring that they will not resign with their team at the end of the year
-Players saying they have to be signed before the season starts because they don't want to worry about it during the season. On that note, I'm pretty sure your agent does most of the negotiating and why would you rule that out if perhaps you have a great first half and the team offers you something nice. Why say something dumb like that that may keep the team from offering you money.
-A-Rod and Jeter. I do kind of hate the Yankees so I guess this is obvious, but we know they don't get along, who cares, they don't need to in order to win.

As Season Approaches, Some Topics Should Be Off Limits - New York Times: "If players think their threats are going to panic their teams into giving them the contract extensions they want, they haven’t been paying attention."
