Ranking Organizations -- The Hardball Times
According to this book highlighted over at Hardball Times the Phillies don't have the 2nd to worst farm system in baseball like that espn.com article a few weeks back would have you to believe.
Actually he ranks the Phils as the 10th best system in the majors, not a bad ranking at all.
His rankings are based more on actual performance last year instead of supposed potential, which could be the difference.
But, hey I wouldn't mind having a bunch of underrated guys who play well (can anyone say Chris Coste?).
That's it for that, just like passing along good information about the Phillies.

I was amazed to see our pitching prospects rated so highly especially given the Garcia trade. I hated giving up Gio Gonzales, but I hope Freddy does well here and then signs a long term deal with us.
