Phils lost tonight. I didn't catch any of the game because I was working but looking at the boxscore the Phils because of a blown start by another starter. I want Eude Brito (A-ooo-day BRE-toe) to play well because i like rooting for the young guys. But he is his line from his first two starts.

Maybe you could say he's learning his way in the majors or whatever, but i dont care if this is only june right now we can have these kind of performances from a player who has never proven himself. The Phillies need more dependable starters and that's the bottom line. If the Phils are going to go anywhere this year they need some heart and starting pitching. Gillick can only do so much to get them heart, but the starting pitching is his job and he needs to come through. Eude Brito ain't gonna cut it to make it to October.

In some other news, Gary Sheffield of the Yankees will be out until likely September. With Matsui already out for the Yankees let's see if the rumors keep increasing about a trade involving either Abreu or Burrell.

Also everyone needs to get out a vote for their favorite Phillies players or for any players in the league who deserve. Ryan Howard and Chase Utley better be there for the All-Star Game and if they aren't I'm going to blame YOU.
