Major League Soccer is hopeful an agreement can be finalized within the next four or five months to bring a team to Philadelphia, commissioner Don Garber said today.I'd like to see Philly have a team, I'd go watch them if they have had a nearby decent place to play at. Don't know if I'd go watch them play at Rowan University like was the plan last year, granted I don't even know where Rowan actually is.
Philadelphia has long been on MLS' radar, but Garber acknowledged the league might have to look elsewhere if a deal cannot be reached soon. They should play at the Linc, they would probably fill more seats than the Temple football team.
Among the criteria for a franchise is a $30 million league fee.
