Phillies Even Up the Season Series

The Phils won tonight, 5 - 2, in what appeared to be a pretty good game. They took advantage of a poor outing by the Met's Perez and took the lead. Adam Eaton did what he's being paid to do and allowed only 2 runs in 7 innings work. Alfonseca and Tom Gordon did the 8th and 9th innings perfectly, Gordon earning his first save of the season. It's nice to see Rollins do well against the Mets so he doesn't feel too bad about the comments he made. Still the Phillies left too many runners on base and probably should have scored more runs. But I won't dwell on that, overall it was a solid win and let's hope the team keeps it up with those. Sleep well tonight for two reasons, the Phils are tied 1-1 with the Mets in the season series and they aren't in last place (Thank you Nationals).

Not being in last place is nice, and now hopefully this team is back on the right track. The Phils should never touch last place again, because the Nats are really that piss-poor.
